Well Winter is just around the corner and Christmas is almost here and so is the cold and snow associated with them!. Here are the list of things you need to do to be all geared up for the winter:

• Check all the windows on the two sides of the room whether they are clean enough.
• The ventilation of the kitchen should be so ample as to thoroughly remove all gases and odors, which, together with steam from boiling and other cooking processes, generally invade and render to some degree unhealthful every other portion of the house.  
• Check the status of your Fireplace.
• If your Fireplace is in excellent condition, then proceed to check your Fireplace Mantel. If your old one is in a bad shape, then you can consider replacing with the latest models of fireplace mantels. This is the main item because it is the one that will catch the smoke and hence, you can have a control the smoke.
