Our city was hosting a home improvement show this afternoon in the downtown area. Evidently all of my husband’s other sources to go with him were busy, because I was talked out of spending the day at the mall with my daughter to walk by 10 miles of replacement windows, vinyl siding and everything else “man.” After hours of listening to my husband go on about all of the different types of patios that we should invest in, “A paver patio would be nice, and would last a long time.” “But then again, a decorative concrete would be nice also, and more cost efficient.” After about 2 hours of talking to the representative of the paver company he decided “maybe we should put in a basketball court instead?”
That was it. After being patient for the entire afternoon, my husband was so appreciative he told me that we could do whatever I wanted to do for the rest of the day. My daughter and I drive by a HUGE Arts and Crafts extravaganza store everyday on the way home from school. I always wanted to stop in to take a look around but never really found the time. This was the perfect time, right? So needless to say my husband sat in the embroidery supplies department with me for 3 hours as I decided what color of thread that I needed for our Daughter’s Halloween costume.
