Capping the bottles
Right after reading and getting to know all about bottle labeling and label applicators, my next learning was about bottle capping. So whats the big deal about bottle caps? A cap is the second important thing made for a bottle, after the bottle itself. It physically protects the bottle from any outside particle entering. We all know that caps are typically made from plastic materials which can be opened easily by just twisting them on the caps screw area on the bottle whilst there are caps which are made from steel too and these are opened with the help of a opener.
Did you know that its filling machine which does the hardest work of filling a bottle with the liquid of your choice and only after that a bottle capper comes into picture to cap it up! There are Spindle Cappers, Snap Cappers and a Spindle/Snap Cappers which can do both the work of snap and spindle cappers and finally there are Chuck Cappers which are quite fast in capping bottles.
A bottle capper is an automatic machinery and capping equipment to fit just about any bottle filling need for a bottle maker. I also learned that these machines come in a variety of forms other than automatic such as manual, semi-automatic and cap pre-feeders capable of handling a range of bottle materials from glass and plastic to metal or foil. A cap can fit a bottle which has any substance ranging from water, wine, juice or thicker substances such as honey, oil or sauce.
